About Browser Developers
Browser Developers is a browser engineering team. We build and maintain custom Chromium and Firefox browsers, browser extensions and cross-platform desktop apps for clients, and we keep them current after launch.
About the role
You will test builds before they reach clients: functional behavior, compatibility across browsers and operating systems, and regressions between versions.
Responsibilities
- Plan and run test passes across Windows, macOS and Linux and multiple browser versions.
- Automate regression checks for extensions and web interfaces.
- Report bugs with clear steps, builds and evidence.
- Check extension behavior against store policy and Manifest V3 limits.
Requirements
- Experience testing web applications or browser extensions.
- Some automation experience, for example with Playwright or Selenium.
- Careful, written bug reports that a developer can act on.
- Comfort with browser DevTools and network inspection.
Nice to have
- Security testing basics for extensions.
- Experience testing installers and auto-update.
- Scripting in JavaScript, TypeScript or Python.
